In North America, Engineers held 1.6 million jobs in 2008. The highest number of these jobs were in civil engineering (278,400), mechanical engineering (238,700), industrial engineering (214,800), electrical engineering (157,800) and electronic engineering, not including computer engineering (143,700).

In general, engineering employment is expected to grow about as fast as the average for all occupations through 2018, although outlook will vary by branch. Biomedical, environmental and civil engineering will experience much faster than average growth, while employment in petroleum engineering, industrial engineering and geological and mining engineering will grow at a faster than average rate.

Learn how to design and implement structures, machines, devices, systems, and processes. We offer internships as analysts, developers, electronic or computer science programmers, and web designers in a wide range of companies: automotive engineering, mobile phones, semi-conductors, online gaming, wireless telecommunication, video and imaging, security, automation control, medical, transportation, aviation, aerospace, and environment monitoring. We also offer research placements in the biotechnology and clean-technology sectors, as well as placement under the guidance of the former Thompson Multimedia Vice-President Asia.

You’ll be using your technical skills, but equally important, you’ll be utilizing your leadership and interpersonal skills to complete various engineering projects.
