Next Step Connections internship program provides students and young professionals with guaranteed tailor-made IT internships. Before you start the internship placement process, you must apply first and get accepted. During the placement process, you will be working with our program advisor who will organize interviews with our large network of IT firms in Asia.

Workers in the so-called STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) occupations earn 26 percent more than workers in other fields. That may be especially welcoming news for IT professionals, since almost half (46 percent) of STEM jobs are in computers and math.
Learn how to design and implement structures, machines, devices, systems, and processes. We offer internships as analysts, developers, electronic, or computer science programmers, and web designers in a wide range of companies: automotive engineering, mobile phones, semi-conductors, online gaming, wireless telecommunication, video and imaging, security, automation control, medical, transportation, aviation, aerospace, and environment monitoring. We also offer research placements in the biotechnology and clean-technology sectors, as well as placement under the guidance of the former Thompson Multimedia vice-President Asia.

As an example, a past program participant worked at a small and young Shanghai start-up. The start-up offers an exclusive online community platform and services to members of recreational, educational, and networking clubs. The start-up combines face recognition technologies with the natural human capacity to recognize faces as underlying dynamic in its social network, providing a fun and intriguing way for members to meet new and familiar faces in real life, whilst strengthening club communities.
Another alumni worked at QTCT, a leading provider of managed video/audio conferencing and telecom solutions in China. Since our establishment in 2004, QTCT has developed and expanded their capabilities through our ChanceTone TM and Telcoserve suite of services. Our objective is to differentiate ourselves by offering a personalized consultative approach that offers their clients the best possible communication solution, via needs assessment.
