Next Step Connections internship program provides students and young professionals with guaranteed tailor-made theater and films internships. Before you start the internship placement process, you must apply first and get accepted. During the placement process, you will be working with our program advisor who will organize interviews with our large network of films firms in Asia.
There are hundreds, if not thousands of people in the film and television industry who are making an extremely lucrative salary. From agents and managers to actors and writers, there are millions to be made. However, there are many more people in the industry who still make a very good living doing what they do, from make up artists to production accountants, there's definitely financial stability in a wide variety of careers.
Theatre & film internships enable you to learn about artistic casting, providing administrative support for the Artistic staff and Casting Director. Responsibilities include helping to coordinate and attend meetings and events and providing general administrative support to the Artistic department. You might also be involved in marketing, development, production management, and technical directions.
You will get to interact with industry professionals like directors, producers, or actors. You will also be able to visit studios and get involved in a variety of tasks such as editing or visual effects. Most of our internships are with movie production firms, where you will attend meetings with directors, cameramen, producers, and actors. You will find yourself attending shoots and get a behind-the-scenes view into the world of set designers, prop houses, casting directors, production executives, etc. You will also get a chance to visit post production studios to see editing, visual effects, and song recordings. Last but not least, you might attend film shootings.

You will be working for the local film industry at firms like Bright Shadow Films, news specialized in news coverage, feature production, interviews and correspondents; Bright Shadow Limelight which handles event coverage and event sound coverage; Bright Shadow Films that manage commercials, documentaries, television, features, and work by Bright Shadow that works with the production of corporate identities, online films, etc.
