“Bringing Back the Memories”

To bring back the memories, Next Step is launching a Facebook video contest. With your favorite tracks during your time abroad, make a video with any pictures, video clips, quotes (funny, inside jokes, touching), recaps of your experience. The person who gets the most “likes” to their video will win US$200!

Videos must be posted in Next Step’s Facebook page. Deadline is September 20th. Ready. Set. Go!

Fall 2010 scholarships awarded!

NSC is  very proud to award its  Internship Scholarship for young professionals of excellence to Ms. Berta de Miguel from Llotja College of Art and Design, Barcelona, Spain and its Internship Scholarship for students of excellence to Ms. Monika Lutz from Fairview High School, Boulder, CO, USA.

NSC Young Entrepreneur Program

NEW As part of Next Step Connections commitment to help the next generation of future leaders take their first steps into the professional world, we have created the NSC Young Entrepreneur program in Shanghai for overseas students aged between 15 and 18 years old.  Hosted at the premises of a prominent Chinese business university in Shanghai, the young entrepreneur program offers you a unique opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills, business acumen and Chinese language abilities at an early age.

Dates: Saturday 3rd July 2010 – Saturday 31st July 2010

Where: Shanghai, China

First NSC Scholarship granted to a young professional from California

As part of Next Step Connections commitment to help the next generation of future leaders take their first steps into their professional fields, NSC granted its first ever scholarship to Michelle Chan, a media and communications graduate from Pepperdine, California.

Michelle will start her internship at the beginning of March 2010 at SMG’s new channel (ICS – International Channel Shanghai) which is China’s second 24-hour TV channel to broadcast nationwide and completely in English after CCTV-9. SMG, is one of the world’s most powerful and influential Chinese-language media and entertainment groups.
