At Next Step Connections, we have a rich history of partnering with global institutions worldwide to offer internships and faculty-led program to students interested to have meaningful learning experiences in Asia.

We have worked closely with institutions to ensure students goals were met during their program experiences in Asia with Next Step Connections.

Next Step Connections offers services for customized internships, faculty-led study tour groups, student employability programs and VI Projects. We can offer these programs by directly working with our team in Asia.

The services provided by Next Step Connections allow participants a direct access to leading companies and provides them with opportunities to partake in challenging projects to enhance their current skill set.

 

A) Experiential Learning Program capabilities

Internship Programs

In Shanghai,  Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok and Indonesia, Next Step Connections can work with your institutions to build a custom group option. The minimum period of enrollment is 4 weeks and this type of program will target your undergraduates or graduates in a specific academic discipline or across a broad range of majors. Our team can create a program to meet the specific academic, residential and cultural needs of the internship participant:

Academic Credit

Directly with College/University: Each institution holds individual policies regarding credit for international internships. Credit can be awarded through the registrar, education abroad, experiential education, career services, or even an academic department. Options vary  so we are happy to discuss the best solutions for your institution.

Study tours, specialty and short-term programs 

If you are coordinating a group of students to Asia for an academic program, Next Step Connections can assist in coordinating the group logistics. This includes and is not limited to:

B) Student Employability Programs

We design and run innovative workshops around student employability for various Asian Universities including Resume 2.0, Cover Letter, Personal Branding, Soft skills development and more.

C) Virtual Internship (VI) Projects

“Virtual Internship will allow university students to sign up for mini project-based internships across the world and work remotely from their home. This projects  will bring the world closer together and allow collaboration between universities, companies and students at a fraction of the cost. “ said Jerome Le Carrou, a French Entrepreneur who founded the company in 2008. Next Step Connections team organizes projects opened for students to sign up at nominal fees.

The project will be monitored by the host company and Next Step Connections to ensure interns are on track and reach the set learning objectives. Each project is unique and will expose the intern to critical professional skills vital to their entrance into the workforce.

Inspired by the founder’s own life changing internship experience, the virtual internship projects  marks a milestone in leveling the playing field for young talents regardless of economic capabilities. Combining the experience of a real internship with innovative virtual collaboration tools.
