The beginning of the road!

Next Step Connections is founded in Shanghai by Jerome Le Carrou in 2008.


Opening of Shanghai Internship Program

Partnership with MBA Diversity Organisation with Internships at China Daily, Shanghai Business Review, Sino Automotive Engineering, BASF, Huashan Hospital, Publicis Group, Finance Research-Works, Alaska Glacier Water were organised for foreign Students from the United States, Spain, UK, Chile, France, Italy and South Korea.


Strategic partnership with GlobaLinks Learning Abroad

Next Step Connections forged an exclusive partnership with the award-winning Colorado based educational organisation. All students from North America will benefit from the 20+ years of experience of our partner organisation in delivering quality support and guidance prior to departure, in-country and upon return.


Opening of Hong Kong Internship Program

Partnership with the University of Southern California with Internships at CNN, Cathay Pacific Airways, Li&Fung, South China Morning Post, Ketchum, Radio Television Hong Kong, Lehman Brown, Wan Chai Kindergarten, FinanceAsia and more were organised for foreign Students from the United States, UK, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.


Highest number of participants recorded

Next Step Connections recorded its highest number of participants with 180 students joining.


Opening of Singapore Internship Program

Next Step Connections is opening its third office in Asia, and launching the Singapore Internship program in january 2014.


Opening of Bangkok Internship Program

Next Step Connections is opening its fourth office in Asia, and launching the Bangkok Internship program in November 2014.


Opening of Indonesia Internship Programs

Next Step Connections is opening programs in Surabaya and Bali, Indonesia.

Social development projects

As part of our strong commitment to raise awareness on various educational issues across Asia, our team is actively engaged in supporting various projects in the region. These actions are managed by NSC employees to give back to the community and develop personal enrichment and skills development.

Student societies sponsorships

NSC has sponsored various student societies including the talent show at Donghua University in Shanghai, China. The show was a great platform for local and international students to perform various acts (dancing, singing etc..) in front of a panel of judges.

Green projects

Charity Event by NSC with the Jane Goodall Institute. At the end of the night, the event helped to secure 186 trees (150 trees from the event, plus 36 trees from additional donations) for the 2011 planting site.

Orphans Projects in South East Asia

Thailand: NSC Shanghai Team spent a week volunteering at the King’s school in Phuket Island. NSC was able to deliver valuable advice and guidance to local teachers as well as school materials and equipment.

Indonesia: NSC team spent some time teaching sports at a local school in Bangkel, Indonesia.

High School Entrepreneur Program

We have organised the HEP in 2010 in Shanghai. The program was attended by a handful numbers of budding entrepreneurs from Europe, United States and Hong Kong. The students aged 15-18 had to prepare a business plan that they presented to a panel of investors and entrepreneurs from the region. The program was featured on South China Morning Post Sunday's edition.
