This Mediterranean country has something for everyone, stretching from the snowy mountains of the north to the famous beaches of the south, it's one of the world's most diverse nations and also a good spot for history buffs, with 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
From its Roman relics to Muslim palaces, from baroque cathedrals and Modernista constructions, the country is a treasure chest of artistic and architectural marvels across a matchless cultural palette. More than 30 years of democracy and rapid economic development have spurred Spain's cities to adorn themselves with sparkling new ornaments.

With a subtropical/Mediterranean climate, Valencia has mild winters and long and hot summers.
Valencia's old city center is made up of historic buildings, cathedrals, shops, restaurants, and businesses. The city has a strong public transportation system including a subway, buses, and tram. Valencia has with a vibrant nightlife with people out until late in the evening and early in the morning. Valencia is also famous for Las Fallas. Las Fallas is an internationally recognized festival held in March. It is in recognition of Saint Joseph. There are numerous parades, fireworks, and other festivities held during this week.

Student Voice: Experience the program as if you were there!
It has been an amazing experience. While learning, the internship has broadened my mind and has helped me to develop some professional skills. At the same time, I have discovered a completely different culture and met very interesting people. Although I have only been two months in Shanghai, I feel I have friends there. I can not wait to go back
Daniel Molina Torres (2008), Universidad de Madrid Carlos III, Finance Internship
Shanghai is a city not to be missed. Do not hesitate to come to Shanghai through Next step, which has been incredibly helpful and resourceful in various ways. Because of Next step, I had a fantastic 2 month-experience that might have changed the course of my life from now on
