Asia is a region set to lead the world as it becomes an increasingly important engine of growth leading the world out of the worst recession in over half a century.

On current trends, it is estimated that by 2030, Asia’s economy will be larger than that of the United States and European Union combined with the region’s share of world GDP swelling from a little under 30 percent closer to more than 40 percent.

Why Next Step Connections

A lot of students and graduates lack career guidance as to what will be their next step. While some haven't decided which career path they will choose after graduation, others are unprepared to enter a professional workplace or have never worked in their future professional field. As adjustment is needed to deal with the transition into the world of work, our internship programs aim at getting our participants ready for the real world.

"I am quite impressed with the organization and the experiences they offer. " Penny Loretto, Editor at About.com.

Our Track-Record

We launched our internship program in Shanghai in February 2008. Since then we have organized over tailor-made internships for over 400 "next steppers". We are hoping to contribute to making a positive impact on 25,000 students by 2020.

A life-changing experience

"My internship in China has shaped my future. Through this program I now know three things I didn't know before coming here: I want to go into digital planning, I want to work abroad, and I want to live in China. I could never have predicted any of those things in my life. This has been the best and most eye opening ten weeks and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I will always remember everything and everyone from this adventure and can't wait to see where the experience takes me next.".Meredith Boling, Chapman University, Marketing internship program, Next Stepper, Summer 2011.

Individuals from 25 different countries have participated in our internship program. All our program participants live together standing for a global community creating multicultural friendships and building a strong global network that they will use in the future. NSC organizes regular social events such as happy hours, charity events, dinners so that our participants can build connections and mingle outside their workplace. We believe that life inside Next Step Connections’ Professional Internship Program will open your eyes to the ways of a broader world. Watch videos of our student events.
