NSC Internship Scholarship for young professionals of excellence
As part of Next Step Connections commitment to help the next generation of future leaders take their first steps into their professional fields, we have created a financial aid scholarship to help increase opportunities for candidates of limited financial means to be able to attend one of NSC’s professional internship programs.
• Application deadline: Coming soon!
• Valid only on a 3, 4, 5 or 6 month internship program with NSC in Shanghai.
• Application requirements:
o Resume
o NSC Standard Application form
o Recent picture (Professional)
o One professional reference letter (Past internship, relevant part-time work)
o Applicants must submit one essay of 500 words answering the following questions:
- How do you think this internship in China can help you start or
develop your career?
- Why should we consider you for this scholarship?
• Award type:
o $1,500 scholarship contributed to one of NSC’s professional internship programs (that
are 3 or more months) +$600 (or more) going towards a round-trip plane ticket to China
• Eligibility:
o Applicants must be graduates students or young professionals seeking an internship in
one of NSC’s full internship programs
• Selection:
o NSC board members will serve as judges
o Applicants may be contacted by phone for interview
o All placements are final, made jointly between NSC and the partner company
o All interns are expected to serve the full term of their internship program
• Scholarship requirements
o Award winner will be required to write a weekly journal about their internship
experience (Internship, Life in Shanghai, Living with other interns from around the world)

o Recent picture (Professional)
o One academic reference letter
o Applicants must submit one essay of 500 words answering the following questions:
- How do you think this internship in China can help you start or
develop your career?
- Why should we consider you for this scholarship?
• Award type:
o $1,500 scholarship contributed to one of NSC’s professional internship programs (that
are 3 or more months) +$600 (or more) going towards a round-trip plane ticket to China
• Eligibility:
Applicants must be full time students wiho have a minimum GPA of 3.5 seeking an internship in one of NSC’s full internship programs
• Selection:
o NSC board members will serve as judges
o Applicants may be contacted by phone for interview
o All placements are final, made jointly between NSC and the partner company
o All interns are expected to serve the full term of their internship program
• Scholarship requirements
o Award winner will be required to write a weekly journal about their internship
experience (Internship, Life in Shanghai, Living with other interns from around the world)
