Circular Economy: A key to tackle the Sustainable Development Goals

Program Overview 

This program is suitable for students enrolled in the School of Social Sciences and Psychology. The program will take students on an immersive journey inside Thailand’s circular economy initiatives. From government agencies to corporates to development agencies like the United Nations, the students will discover the country’s initiatives to boost sustainable development which has long taken root in the country. The country has been guided by the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP), conceived by His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The current constitution has integrated SEP and sustainable development as integral parts. The  development approach based on SEP serves as an approach to support the realization of the SDGs.

Chinese Consumers & the Digital Economy Study Tour

Traditions of Health & Wellness Study Tour

From traditional Chinese Medicine observational workshops with practitioners to visits of innovative medical technology companies to immersive experiences in local and international hospital to overviewing the food, Health and Wellness Trends in China. The Students will complete a comprehensive two-week study tour in Eastern China (Shanghai&Hangzhou) and get a holistic view of the health and wellness sectors inside one of the world’s top leading power. This program is suitable for students enrolled in the School of Sciences and Health.

The Culture of Makers & Designers in Japan

This program will provide insights into the world of makers and designers in Japan. This program is suitable for students enrolled in the School of Humanities and Communication Arts (and the School of Social Sciences). The program will provide students with an overview of ‘Bhinneka Tunggal ika’, the diversity of cultural expressions which has always been one of the foundations of Indonesia. Students will develop skills enabling them to lead across divides and thrive in multiple cultures. The program will also discuss the important role that ethnicity plays as Indonesia is entering a new era of increasing economic growth.

Blockchain Study Tour

Program Overview

Blockchain is a disruptive technology. It is reshaping the business as we know it and paves the way to the new economy. This two-week program has been designed to give a foundational knowledge of the technology and an in-depth perspective on its current and future applications. The program is based on Experiential Learning. Because knowledge is nothing without experience, you will practice in small workgroups and conduct research. Besides, through workshops, site visits and networking sessions, you will share the experience of multiple recognized entrepreneurs and develop fruitful contacts for the future. There are no prerequisites to take the program. It is open to anyone willing to understand Blockchain and crypto currencies, and their global impact on the economy. This program is suitable for students enrolled in the School of Business as well as the school of Computer, engineering and mathematics.

This program is suitable for students enrolled in the School of Humanities and Communication Arts. Students will be immersed in a journey to explore what spurs creativity in Vietnam and Singapore and its growth impact. Vietnam is a rapidly transforming country with a burgeoning market for goods and services and Singapore is a leading creative hub in ASEAN with a smart city vision. The tour will take students to creative spaces, media & music agencies, government and innovation clusters, design companies and innovative hubs at educational institutions.
